Robert "Bob" P. Mann PT, OCS
Bob and his wife Suzanne are the clinic owners and have been in private practice since 1998. Bob is a 1989 graduate of the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of West Florida.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in Orthopedics and has 27 years of outpatient experience. Bob completed a 2 year clinical residency in Orthopedic Manual Therapy at Gulf Coast Physical Therapy.
Bob's outside interests are playing with his grandchildren, scuba diving, camping, flying and singing in his church choir.
Lester Baumgarten, MS, PT, ATC, CSCS
Lester has over 20 years of experience working in orthopedics and sports medicine. Lester is a 1994 and 1999 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and MS in Sports Administration, respectively. Lester is also a 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a BS in Physical Therapy.
Lester is a Licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has extensive experience working at the Division I and II levels along with professional football and the US Military. He also has special training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Kinesiological Taping and holds certifications in the Functional Movement Screen levels I and II, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and the Primal Reflex Release Technique levels I and II.
Lester moved to Florida from Colorado with his wife Noel and fabulous daughter to warm up and be closer to family.
Josh Stewart, PT, DPT
Josh is a 2016 graduate from Des Moines University earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health in 2013 from Iowa State University.
While at Des Moines University, Josh completed a variety of clinical experiences including internships treating patients with orthopedic issues (joints, muscle, bones, ligaments), traumatic brain injuries (car accidents, concussions), acquired brain injuries (stroke, brain tumors) and patients with Parkinson's Disease.
A native of the great state of Iowa, Josh enjoys spending his free time outdoors hiking, lying on the beach, and spending time exploring the Emerald Coast with his girlfriend Madison. Josh is excited and eager to begin his career at White Sands Physical Therapy!
Phillip Ostrowski, PTA
Phillip has been a licensed PTA for 10 years with White Sands Physical Therapy, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2004. He earned his license in Massage Therapy in 2015.
Phillip and his lovely wife of 6 years have 4 kids (cats) that keep them busy and poor.
Phillip's hobbies include dirt bike racing and adventure motorcycle riding with his father. He enjoys anything and everything out of doors, especially gardening for his vegetarian wife. We all agree Phillip has the best tomatoes in a 3 state radius.
Megumi Jones, PTA
Megumi is a PTA honor graduate from Pensacola State College. She became interested in a career in physical therapy after her father-in-law suffered a serious injury and she witnessed how helpful his therapy was. Megumi is also a certified fitness instructor with Zumba, group Ride, and Power. Her desire is to continue developing a broad range of skills and experience and providing the best treatment or patients in her community. Megumi is originally from Japan and married to a recently retired member of the United States Air Force. She loves any outdoor activities and loves the sunshine state!
Roeya Safakhoo, PTA
Roeya is a 2009 PTA graduate of Pensacola State College. Prior to her physical therapy training, she was a licensed massage therapist, developing an interest in kinesiology and anatomy. She has been working at White Sands Physical Therapy for five years, honing her skills in patient care and treatment. She continues her education in different techniques for the rehabilitation of her patients, furthering her passion for patient health and care.
Roeya, a Florida native, has one son, Joel and enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, photography and educating herself in many avenues.
Teresa Felstead, PTA
Teresa is a 2012 PTA graduate of Pensacola State College. Her interest in Physical Therapy was sparked while assisting a close friend recover from surgery. Although she is efficient in all areas of Physical Therapy, she has special interests in the rehabilitation of spinal and pelvic issues. In 2016, Teresa completed her certification and became a licensed Massage Therapist with the objective of enhancing her clinical manual skills to promote soft tissue mobility and for pain management.
Originally from Northern Michigan, Teresa moved to the Gulf Coast area in 2000 to enjoy warmer climates and the beach. She is the proud mother of two active-duty military children. Teresa's after-duty activities include reading, watching movies, crocheting and spending time with her dog. Cooking and gardening are also favored creative pass-times when they are neither a necessity nor requirement.
Although Physical Therapy is a passion for Teresa, she has plans in her future to pursue an education in nutrition. She would like to incorporate her current PTA/MT skills with Nutrition to assist others in establishing healthy eating habits and activities in this very confusing world of processed foods, fad diets and sedentary lifestyles.
